(FNS50804) Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning)
Ideal for individuals seeking to:
• enter the Financial Services industry as a Financial Planner / Adviser, and require this nationally recognised qualification which represents the minimum education requirements for a financial planning specialist; or
• take their financial services career to the next level as a Para-planner / Financial Planner/ Adviser specialist.
The Diploma is comprised of FOUR specialist courses with FPP being a mandatory, pre-requisite course to enter any or all of the other three.

The Diploma will give you:
• the minimum education and compliance training requirements necessary to operate as a Financial Planner as enforced by ASIC through Regulatory Guide 46 (RG 146);
• a nationally recognised qualification that allows you to provide advice in financial planning, life insurance, managed investments, securities, derivatives and superannuation; and
• practical skills to enable you to 'hit the ground running', so you are ready to provide complaint advice to retail clients through providing a complaint Statement of Advice (SoA).
The Diploma enables you to:
• Provide advice in Financial Planning
• Provide advice in Life Insurance
• Provide advice in Insurance Broking
• Provide advice in Managed Investments.
• Provide advice in Securities
• Provide advice in Derivatives
• Provide advice in Superannuation
You can undertake any ONE course or ALL FOUR courses at any time using any of the following study methods:
Distance (Self-paced) Education Distance or self-paced learning allows you to start a course when it suits you best. Moreover, it provides you with the flexibility to continue with your other commitments in life, such as work, parenthood and social life. BEST OF ALL - this options gives you access to our experienced financial professionals who can discuss concepts, conduct skill-based role plays and provide feedback on any assessments submitted. |
Workshop (2 Days per module - 8 Days total) Our accelerated learning option involves face-to-face workshops which create a friendly classroom environment to enable learning in a timely and structured way. It also allows you to 'bounce ideas around' with other participants - not to mention the networking opportunities! Facilitators are industry professionals with 'real world' experience and take the time to tell the 'war stories' which help explain the concepts. We limit class sizes to NO MORE than 10 students to ensure personalised service is provided. |
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) We recognise that some people have a wealth of knowledge gained over a period of years working in the industry, or through previous studies undertaken. RPL assessment is based on the knowledge and skills an individual has gained through prior course or work experience undertaken. (Please refer to the Student Information Guide for more information). |
