(FNS60404) Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) by
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and/or Experience
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) simply involves an individual assessment of your KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS based on your work and life experience. Knowledge and skills can be demonstrated (and assessed) by:
1. Recognising prior study, courses and qualifications undertaken;
2. Direct assessment using written and oral questioning; and/or
3. Compiling a Portfolio of Evidence which details the individual’s life and work experience.


Individuals with industry experience will typically have a sufficient level of both
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS
to meet the level of competency at the Advanced Diploma level as set out under the national training system known as the Australian Qualification Training Framework (AQTF).
IIT will facilitate the collection and documentation of the necessary evidence.
Once the evidence is collected, IIT will award you with the nationally recognised qualification of FNS60404 Advanced Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning).
Individuals with industry experience will typically have a sufficient level of both

• Have completed the FNS50804 Diploma of Financial Services (Financial Planning) or FNB50802 Diploma of Financial Planning; and
• Have at least 2 years industry experience (with at least 12 months experience in advising retail clients)

Options to complete the RPL Kit
IIT’s assessment process is simple and efficient making sure you have time to do what you do best – look after your clients!
To complete the RPL Kit you can choose between:
• ONE DAY Intensive Workshop - designed to minimise the hassle, the workshop allows you to complete the assessment process with hands-on assistance from an IIT RPL Auditor. The workshops provide a great networking opportunity and provide 5 CPD points based the assessment process which is designed to assist fill immediately any gaps that may be identified.
• Distance Education (Self Assessment) – you will be supplied with an RPL Evidence Kit and required to compile and complete the necessary documentary evidence. It is important ALL the required evidence is supplied. Any portfolios that are submitted which lack the required evidence will be held until the necessary evidence is supplied to IIT and additional fees WILL apply.
Study Pathways
As a graduate of this course, you may be granted partial credits towards postgraduate financial services studies in a number of Australian universities. In addition, you may be eligible to undertake further study in Industry Higher Education Programs such as the:
