Overview of the Course
The Advanced Diploma of Accounting provides practical career-orientated training for professional accountants once completed. On completion of the course, graduates will be eligible for membership with the National Institute of Accountants and the Tax Agents Registration Board.
Graduates of this course should be able to assist senior accountants and undertake duties in a wide range of manual and computer-based accounting functions, perform internal and external audit functions, tax planning and evaluate business performance.
In addition to accounting skills the course is designed to provide a range of skills that equips the student with the communication and people skills necessary to present reports, be aware of the rights and responsibilities of employers and employees and to manage a team effectively.
This course will open up a wide variety of accounting positions at the middle management level. Small businesses and large companies also seek the valuable and practical skills acquired through studying this course.

The Diploma of Accounting is designed for individuals who:
• intend to perform assistant accountant duties such as supervision and control of accounting systems, maintaining internal control systems, preparation of financial statements for reporting entities, analysis of business performance, preparation of tax returns and management of small teams; or
• are already working in the industry and wish to obtain the qualification to broaden their knowledge and career prospects or wish to articulate to Advanced Diploma of Accounting or degree programs.

FNS40604 CERTIFICATE IV IN FINANCIAL SERVICES (ACCOUNTING)
Ideal for individuals seeking to:
• intend to perform duties such as completing Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other office taxes, preparing budgets, operational reporting, producing basic management and job costing reports and maintaining inventory records; or
• are already working in the industry and wish to obtain the qualification to broaden their knowledge and career prospects or wish to improve their chances to articulate to degree programs.
The Certificate IV will give provide you with the skills to:
• completing Business Activity Statements (BAS) and other office taxes
• operational reporting
• producing basic management reports
• producing basic job costing reports
