Exemptions and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL)

If you have completed previous studies in the financial services area, you may be eligible for some credits towards your course by way of course exemptions.

Credit Transfer Select this option if you wish for IIT to determine whether your previous studies  may provide you exemptions, with the same units of competency as credit transfer towards an IIT course in the same field.
No cost to check Certificate transcripts or Statements of Attainment for students. Gap pricing will be given with outcome depending on the number of assessments still required if students don’t have the full module or qualification exemption
Direct Credit Transfer for full qualification  Select this option if you wish to apply for a direct credit transfer of units of competency achieved with another provider. Students must meet all Units of Competency within the nominated qualification to gain the certification. Administration Fee Applicable.
As per the SNR Standards 3.5, it is up to the RTO- International Institute of Technology (IIT) to determine on a case by case basis whether a student can be granted a full direct credit transfer as it is based on a range of factors including currency and the year the previous units were attained. IIT are under no obligation to issue any certification (either qualifications or statements of attainment) based entirely on the individual having undertaken all of the required training with another RTO.
Bridging Gap pricing will be given with outcome depending on the number of assessments still required if students don’t have the full module or qualification exemption.
Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Select this option if you wish for IIT to examine a portfolio of evidence that may provide you exemptions from studying IIT material covering the same competencies. Please note that this option can result in substantial costs and time delays and no guarantee in advance can be made that any competencies will be recognised upon completion of the examination process.
$1500 for full qualifications to be assessed via this method. Gap assessments may still be required and additional costs will be given at the outcome of the RPL process. $900 for individual modules to be assessed via this method and again,
gap assessments may still be required and pricing given upon the outcome of the RPL.

If you would like for us to evaluate your eligibility for course exemptions please contact a member of our helpful Education  Team on the number below or simply drop them an email education@iit.edu.au

Please note: certified copies of your academic transcripts / statement(s) of attainment / certificate(s) are required in order to officially give you any exemptions, these can be sent to us after enrolment, and in the interim we can perform an unofficial RPL outcome, however, we cannot issue any qualification until a certified copy of the transcript/s or USI transcript is sent to us. Failure to send us a certified copy/s of transcripts or USI transcript at the completion of your course with us, will result in you having to complete areas you were given an unofficial RPL outcome/credit for pre enrolment.
